Winter Kingdom Above Clouds

Another one from my December 2022 pre-dawn hike to Babia Mtn. in Polish Beskidy. It’s hard to believe, but the time between taking my Winter Twilight picture and this one was just about ten minutes. The quality of light has changed completely. Turning my camera by 90 degrees, I noticed in some distance this gathering of snow hoodoos commandeering the scared crowd of shaky half-frozen little fir trees underneath. I was instantly taken by the human-like drama of this scene. The dense cloud sea in the background nicely complemented the fairy tale atmosphere.
