Black Flames

There is nothing like the sensory deprivation of the gloomy (sub)urban southwestern Ontario winters. Makes you jump at every photo opportunity like a hungry kid in a candy store. But also makes you see common things in new ways that render them not so common after all.

I shot this fiery bush in between classes at a nearby park after a fresh snowfall.
